About Us

MedGap publishes clear, practical health guides that help close the gap between a confusing diagnosis and a confident decision. We cover everyday conditions, warning signs, treatments and the U.S. healthcare system, from choosing a hospital to understanding Medicare and prescription costs.

What we stand for

Health information should be accurate, honest and easy to follow. We explain what the evidence shows, point out symptoms that need urgent care, and encourage readers to work with their own doctors. We do not sell supplements or promote unproven treatments.

How we research

Our guides draw on national clinical guidelines, U.S. government health agencies such as the CDC, NIH, FDA and CMS, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, peer-reviewed research and recognized independent sources for cost and coverage data. Figures such as Medicare amounts, insurance limits and hospital rankings are dated so readers know when they apply. See our Editorial Policy.

Important

MedGap provides general information, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Please read our Medical Disclaimer.
